Problems with brand new S CLASS 550 4m 2015
One month ago bought that car in Canada for 137 grands. Idea of S CLASS is perfect but still have some questioned detail.
1. Personals on MB service facilities is not familiar ( not trained) with electronic and internet tuning.
2. Condensation inside front headlight is terrible. I understood that according manual condensation is allowed, but I not sure that so big condensation as I have on my car. Other car in same weather condition don't have condensation inside headlight.
3. No touch up display.
4. Not convenient way for phone dial.

2. Stuff happens, that is why we have warranty so the dealer should be happy to help replace or repair the headlight.
3. I think you mean no touch display? No Benz ever had a touch screen, but I guess you would have figured this out by checking out the car in the showroom before your purchase. Myself I have no problem with using the scroll wheel to use the navi as I hate when the screen has tons of fingerprints.
4. Again something you could have figured out by seeing the car in the showroom, but I recall the center console has a built in number pad which also changes the radio preset channels (someone else confirm as I recall this function in my older W221)

I have the same condensation headlight issue as you. I called the dealer and they can have a look tomorrow. (picking up comfort box and roof rack and other accessories) I think your car and my car just recently came across the Atlantic and might need a few months to acclimatize. Just guessing, but the headlights were assembled in a humid area and maybe they are sealed. It's a Dew Point thing. It's -28 C here tonight, and the lower third of the headlight is covered with frost, internally, so yeah I know what you are talking about with this condensation issue. Thing is, I don't care about that very much because the car is warrantied - this will give the dealer something to do, if anything needs to be done about it. (I'd say they should desiccate the air before assembly, or make some injection portal valve thing in which they could force inject dry air and then seal it off or something, but I'm not an engineer).

Yes, and just in case I just visited my dealer's mechanic, and he said the same thing - the headlights have the capability to vent somewhat. After a high pressure spray wash or other wet things, you can have this happen to varying degrees I'm sure. You don't want it to have water in there I don't think, but a little condensation is OK. I'll be monitoring mine, but I am not concerned about it yet.

Living in So. CA, I have not yet experienced this condensation problem, but I have heard, repeatedly, that it is, indeed, "normal." The question is WHY? Why in the world should this be normal? So many auto companies out there seem to have overcome this condensation problem, surely the brains at MB could have done so, no? Oh, that's right, they were spending all their engineering time designing a way to pump perfume into our cabin and how to use the space formerly reserved for frigging spare tire storage. Never mind.

It's absolutely normal. Any manufacturer producing LED headlights has the same mention- even Audi's A8.
