I searched and did not see it, so I have to ask. Whenever I run errands past a local MB dealer I walk the lot just to look. I tend to look at the S class because they are more interesting. One dealer here in Denver had an S with silver wood trim. How is that done? Is it somehow real silver? Anybody have it? People like it or is it considered a bit too odd? I could not decide what I thought.
I have it and love it. Everyone who sees it always comment how great it looks. It's very unique and really looks great with the porcelain and black interior
have a s550 silver wood looks great with the crystal grey/seashell grey nappa leather
outside is anthracite blue
Awesome combo! Would love to see some pics of your car... I have anthracite/brown, but am considering going with exclusive crystal/seashell grey interior next time around... Metallized Ash ONLY works with this interior color in my opinion... Here is a video with it in black, not a fan of how it looks, although Oakland Raiders fans may disagree...

Not a big fan of the metallized ash but I was surprised how nice it looked in the flesh. The combo was a crystal gray/seashell interior
I had the metallized ash with crystal gray/seashell gray interior in the first S-Class I bought. In fact, it was so stunningly beautiful and unique that it's a big reason why I bought that car. Unfortunately it also came with crystal gray (nearly white) carpeting - which is not really practical in Chicago. Traded it for another S with a black interior and carpet - not as unique, but also very handsome. Shot of my 2017 S550 with the Crystal Gray/Seashell Gray interior and metallized wood dash and wheel. I've had the car for 1-1/2 years now and the seats are still good. I've tried lots of leather cleaners & conditioners on other cars and my current favorite is Leatherique Pristine Clean and Leatherique Rejuvenator. I'm interested in trying the Gyeon and Gt
I prefer burr walnut but those things are cool too
Burr is timeless and works in pretty much any interior. My 140 has burr, my 222 has metalized ashwood. The latter doesn’t work as well in some interior combinations. I was skeptical about metalized ashwood initially, but when I saw how well it went with the brushed aluminum and rest of the interior, I was sold. Plus there was a clear uniqueness factor which was nice too. They are less frequent, and it’s not even offered any more (to my knowledge).

This is the color I have with anthracite blue exterior and I love it! I contemplated upgrading my steering wheel, but didn't want to loose that beautiful silver wood finish. I also have light gray carpet and got the gray full sized diamond stitched floor mats that someone posted on here and it all goes well. My only challenge is keeping the gray clean and what do do about the "yellowing" in some areas.
I have the crystal and seashell interior in my S class, although I have the walnut wood trim, I did remove the grey overmats and bought some mercedes black ones as they are more practical, the grey ones can go back in when , or if, I sell the car.
However as it is the S 500 with the 4.7 V8 I think it will be a keeper for many years, and it has the rare mbc as well. Exterior colour is Diamond Silver.
One option for keeping the light gray carpeting in good shape is a set of all-season rubber floor mats from Weathertech. They offer them in gray that's a nearly exact match to the darker gray on the dashboard and upper window surfaces. It's still darker than the light gray carpet, but in my opinion was a much better and more subtle option than black mats. 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class | All-Weather Car Mats - All Season flexible rubber floor mats | WeatherTech
First off, I'm a newbie to MB World. I just bought my 4th Mercedes. Last one was a 2001 E. Anyway, have a 2015 with the Silver wood interior. I saw the exterior color on the car, then the interior and I was hooked. Not sure if I maintained a very good poker face at the dealer given my excitement, but at this point, I don't care. I love the car.
Looking forward to hanging out on this forum, learning more and seeing what others are driving and their experiences.
Glad to be aboard! After detailing my S-550 for 6-hours in 95 degree heat.
