Lane Assist

Hello all! After my long drive in the S550 I was wondering if others have noticed the car sway within the lane. There are times were I feel we are very close to cars in the next lane or I will watch the car drive itself and then alert we are going out of the lane. Is that normal?

Thanks!

Neil

Yes, this is normal for Distronic+ with steering assist and just isn't as smooth as it should be.

If you are actively driving the car, carefully placing the car within its lane, Lank Assist is a bit distraction as you arc towards an apex, and the car fights you on the way in, and fights you as you track out. I leave mine off most of the time.

I want to have the car drive it mostly itself but I don't totally trust it not to hit the car in the next lane or just go off the road!
