Would love to have the design of the AMG cars instrument cluster rather than the bland S550 look. Anyone know if this can be reprogrammed? If so, please PM me details. Thanks!
Yup, and the Carbon Fiber trim outside as well. I do not care about the speed and firm ride the AMG offers, so why pay for it? I have a call into a tuner in Miami I have used in the past. I will report back my findings.

you pay for the AMG, because it's an AMG, tuning and extra parts are not AMG man, not trying to be rude, it's just not going to be the same
I think if you take a magic marker, and just write "AMG" on the back trunk on the right....the rest of the car is going to adapt to it and the cluster should come on automatically.

OP, it's not *that* bland - come on, its a 100K car. If you want the cluster, maybe look into the E63 or another AMG? IMO, if you care more about comfort, S550>any non-S Class AMG! Don't worry about the graphics too much! Just enjoy what you have

Let me know.
Reminds me of how MB marketed "MAGIC" body control. They took a magic marker to the brochure, called ABC "Magic," even though it barely does anything

my S class was about 127.......the AMG start at 141.......not a huge difference for Gents buying in this price range
I also wouldn't want an S AMG; just too damn big!
had an E AMG once, and now have the CLS AMG.....much better experience

I can attest that it does.
If you are in comfort, with your foot constantly on the accelerator (not on brake, not off the pedal) you will go over bumps with little to know body movement. It is enjoyable for what it is. The Active Body Control part of this MBC is great. Have had it on the last 3 S Classes and wouldnt get the car without it. Flat in every corner is great.
Wish that they would adjust the software so that you get the Magic part while also being on the breaks or coasting without pressing the gas.

My 2014 isn't much flatter than my '08 (and my '08 has ABC).
None of the bump smoothing happens when there is shade over the bumps from trees or at night time. I wish MB could release software updates over the air via COMAND to fix these issues.
I always slow down before bumps anyways and it works, but the thing is that if I drive too fast and it doesn't work (because it's unreliable 3/4 of the time), I could scrape the lip of the bumper. I don't know why MB would make it so you have to accelerate over the bumps - even if I do this, it still doesn't work in the shade or if the bump is immediately after a sharp corner. But ehh.. regarding scraping, mine's a 2 year lease anyways (already 3 months in) - I probably shouldn't care what happens to the bottom of the bumper (lol every time my SLK goes in the garage, it scrapes!). I guess since the car still only has 1K miles, I don't want to ruin it just yet.
Is the ride much different with air suspension? I've never driven an S Class without ABC or MBC. Both my '08 and '14 have great ride quality - its just that I'm not sure Magic Body Control is that much different than ABC.

I would LOVE to have an S63 but dang, the prices in LA are sky high.
The problem is with leasing - I don't like keeping my cars past 20K-25K miles because I don't want to pay for tires/brakes/services, etc. I just spend 4K on servicing my 2008 S and the car isn't worth that much. Leasing AMG's isn't worth the cost compared to the cost of leasing a simple S550.
Sadly, most S550's in LA are pretty basically loaded since 90% of them are leased anyways, so the price difference in MSRP and in leasing between S550's and S Class AMG's is quite large. I'm shocked to have even found my S550 with Magic Body Control - it came at the cost of not having Sport Package
And yes, CLS AMG>E AMG any day!
And note to the OP: If you are leasing, don't worry about the instrument cluster graphics! The car will be gone before you know it.
Yes its possible but the command is very partiticular on how to do this.
1) You need a USB drive that is under 2gb and it can not be SDHC otherwise command will not read it.
2) Make sure its partitioned as GPT Partition type so that command can read it.
3) Format USB Drive with ZFS File System type and at 2048kb. (You can do this under linux, open solaris or freebsd )
4) Download this image onto the drive. (You will need to do it from linux or a VM will work as well.)
5) Insert USB drive into the bottom slot inside the center arm rest.
6) Here's the tricky part. It took me a few tries to get it to work. Insert key into ignition. Making sure the vehicle is off. While pressing and holding the Mercedes logo on the steering wheel, Turn key forward and start the vehicle. Do not let go of logo yet.
7) Wait 10 Seconds while command boots up to where you see the Mercedes Benz Logo until you see the part where the planet comes on the screen and says initiating Nav.
8) You can let go of the logo on the steering wheel and the screen should say "Downloading Update.." then "Checking CRC..." then finally "Update Completed. Please Power Down Vechicle." Don't panic if the screen goes blank at any point during the update process. This will show on the screen directly in front of you in red letters.
9) Power down vehicle and wait 30 seconds.
10) Step on gas pedal for 45 Seconds. Remove and reinsert key and turn one notch forward (engine off).
While foot is still on pedal.
11) You should hear two beep tones like the ones in the lane changing alert.
And thats it. Your Command should boot up with the new AMG overlay and also it will have updated your ecu to allow more boost in the turbos. You will definitely notice snappier shifts and harder revs.

You actually believed this?
Putting a photoshopped graphic file will update your cluster and ecu to increase the power on your engine? Really?
