Received my European S65 body kit
Hey guys just signed up to MBWorld today and wanted to share the conversion i have started with my 2015 S550. I just received the European S65 kit and also noticed i never got the middle fog light on the rear diffuser. Regardless my car doesn't have the option for fog lights so if you guys have any suggestions on where or how i can get a dummy i would really appreciate it.
The car is going to be dropped off on Tuesday at the bodyshop and they're going to start this project!!! Im pretty excited because I'm going to be using a lot of Black Chrome vinyl on all of the chrome moldings. The front lower grills are going to be painted shiny black and the rest wrapped with 3M vinyl! Stay tuned! If i have time ill be posting a lot of pictures up step by step!
So check out how the car looks as of now and some feed back would be highly appreciated.

Congratulations on completing this body kit! It looks quite nice. The only thing I have to say is that it's not a full S65 body kit. To me it seems like the MEC Design kit. https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...g-styling.html
Edit : Sorry, I just saw that you said you just started. I bought the S65 front grilles, but it turns out I can't complete the conversion at the moment due to an ongoing instruction.

Looking forward of how the car looks with the kit installed.
Personally, the car is a touch too low for my taste. Links or ELM?

I think the light comes on to illuminate the rear when backing up. I have the light in the SL and the backup camera works perfect at night because of it. On the S, all you see is darkness.

Since it's the euro version light I think you'll have to get it from there. Or you can get the US style center diffuser insert.

Would you happen to know a website where i can find a dummy version of it? I don't even know where i can find this light. Ive been looking and calling everywhere. I even tried calling the dealer for it. I keep seeing the lights being clear or red and i really prefer it to be red!

You need to call Germany, or a European country. I think I've got them on my car. I ordered some speaker parts from Germany.

Who makes these body kits? MB or an after market supplier?

We live in litigious times, with every responsible party looking for their golden loophole. Is it worth it to make your car look like something it's not? Hopefully, you'll never have to find out. Me? I like my cars the way they come from the factory. Billions are spent engineering these cars. To second guess the factory engineers to look cool, just doesn't compute for me.
Just my thoughts.

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade here, but the last thing I would want on my high dollar, near new, S Class, would be body panels made by some after market supplier. God forbid this modified car is ever involved in a major, injury accident. I can see the lawyers lining up to argue that the modified car was somehow unsafe. I can see MB lawyers claiming absolutely no responsibility for anything, due to the fact that the vehicle was modified. I could even see insurance companies denying claims, due to the fact that the car was modified using non-factory parts. Are these body panels certified by the DOT as after market wheels are? If not, you couldn't pay me to have them installed on my car.

Hey guys hope all is well. Been patiently waiting for the pieces to come together. So yesterday i got to the bodyshop and decided to snap a few pics of them putting the rear bumper on. Also painting the front bumper with the side skirts. I also ended up changing the color of the calipers again.
Ill post more pics of everything tomorrow after i get the car detailed.

Hi,
Fantastic looking car, if only I had the guts to get it done. The only kind of negative point I have to say, is that isn't that a S63 body kit, or is a dechromed S65 body kit basically a S63 body kit.
