Interior Materials

I Have the Nappa Leather seats, and the seats are the same color as the dash and almost the same texture. I'm trying to take proper care of the dash but I don't know the material that it is made of. I doubt it's leather and suspect its rubber or vinyl. does Anybody have any suggestions?

It's MB-Tex. I know people are using cleaning products but I have never used anything else but a microfiber with some warm water...

I was told that using a micro fiber on MB-tex will make it shiny over time. It's not an issue unless you want the MB-tex looking matte. I noticed this happened to my GL which had MB-tex seats--the outside bolster eventually began to look like shiny patina'd leather.

Have MB-Tex on the SL's dash which picks up much more dirt than a sedan. After 2 years it looks like the day we picked up the car

This may be different on seats which experience actual material wear.

On my '14 S550 I had Beige/Espresso Nappa and it was hard to tell if it was MB Tex or standard leather on the dash. On my '16 S550 I have Beige/Espresso Exclusive Nappa Leather interior. The upper dash and upper doors are all espresso Nappa leather with the dash having contrast piping (dash is espresso and the piping is beige). It is really nice and is a huge upgrade from the Nappa interior of the '14 S550 I had.
