Hey guys,

So I finally pulled the trigger on a white s550 with nut brown interior. Got the premium,sport and driver assist package.

I take delivery on Friday and so excited, big upgrade coming from my 2014 eclass.

So I want to get windows tinted this weekend and have a good tint shop and need to decide between ceramic 15% or 30%.

I have 15 on my current black e class with beige interior and I like it but not sure if that will be to dark for this car and play it safe and go with the 30. I'll do turn windshield at 50-70% as well

Any feedback would be appreciated

 

Think I'm going with 15 on doors, 5 in rear. Are u doing your windshield? Or sunroof?

 

Thinking 15 all around and 50 on windshield. Don't really think turn roof is necessary.

 

18 on doors 5 in rear, 5 on roof. There is allot of light that comes through the top.

 

I'm biased but you know with newer ceramics, you no longer need it to look black in order to block heat

The "clear" blocks around 45% with limo black getting around 60%

 

did you get the tint done yet? any pics?

 

My only suggestion would be to get "huper optik" tint. Its much better than Nano. This can only be used on the side windows with nano on the rear.

 

I went with 20% all the way around...I left the pano roof alone...So when the police are nearby I can open it up to give the appearance that the tint is not so dark...legal....

 

Do limo tint all around because YOLO!!!!

 

Do you have better pictures of your tint? I have a 2016 s63 and I had it tinted 15% all the way around with llumar film. I hate it. I do not like how it looks because it's not black. It's more of a mirror'ish tint. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to donor which film to use to get a black look? I know it's more because of our glass though. I dislike it so much I am thinking about stripping the tint and go without tint.

 

 

It will be mirrored no matter what u get, the car has factory uv blocking tint which is mirrored, when u tint it you see the mirror way more.

 

Congrats Naseem, I also went from an E class to an S.......big improvement all around I agree.........although it's become pretty stale; like a three day old bagel.
