Question regarding Panel Heating

The weather here was very cold yesterday and I wanted to try and see how the panel heating works. First of all I don't know if it really got warm or not because it took a long time and I did not feel much of a difference.

Has anyone used it and would like to know about your experience. Does it really get warm and if so is it just warm or gets warm enough that you can sense it. Also how long doers it take to get warm.

Thanks

My wife has asked me to turn it on a few times. It is noticeable. After about 10 minutes with it on, it actually becomes too warm for my liking (especially the center console). It appears the door armrests go from low to high heat via the seat heater switch, but the center console stays one temp. Don't get me wrong, it's not hot enough to burn skin, but for someone who doesn't wear a jacket unless it's below 60 degrees - it's too warm for me and I leave it off. So yes, you should definitely be feeling it.

The panel heating in my 2015 S works great - heats quickly; I don't keep it on long...

My Panel Heating heats quickly.

It has been awesome when the temp is in the single digits in the winter months like it has been recently here.

Agree that the handles and center console get very warm in just a couple of minutes. They work definitely faster than the the actual seats.

That said, my wife noted that the passenger side wasn't quite as warm as the driver side.

Thanks every one who responded. It seems I'll have to get it checked out as it does not get hot as many of you have said. Will update when I get it checked as it is not an emergency.

Finally I realized today that the armrest and the center console panels will only warm up if the seat heat is turned on. I turned the seat heat on today and suddenly I felt the heat on the arm rest and center consolepanels. I thought each was separate but it is not panels will only warm up if the seat heat is turned on and will switch off when the seat heat is off. So all is well and with the temps really in the single digits I am all set.
