s63,s600 Maybach
No chrome door jams...
I really think there are a few things Benz went considering they are callling this a Maybach
(multiple different badges, s600 & Mercedes on trunk, Mercedes on hood, m's on pillars,..
Could have had more symmetry
Carpets
Think they could have done alil more with seat design (stitching) instead of using the standard designo design...
Maybe alil different ambient colors
Or anything to set apart
(not just a custom colonge)
Split screen is a option???
But, hey with all this.
Gotta say ride is sooo much nicer then the s63, & the deal was ridiculous....
I just hope Mercedes don't over play maybach pkg

Love the car, but agree with everyone else about the rims,
Both the 21" RennTech and stock wheels look better than the ones you have on there right now.
Normally, those RennTechs would be among my favorite wheels, but I think they're a better fit for an AMG or more sporty car than a Maybach.

That is stunning. Congrats on the Maybach. Hands down you are driving the very best luxury sedan in the world.

Just throwing in my 2 cents. Adding 21s and lowering a S-Class Maybach would be like me taking my 911 turbo, increasing the ride height and putting the comfort 18" Bringestone Duelers off my SUV on the Porsche. This car was made for the smoooooooooth ride. It would be a real crime to downgrade it from what it is the best in the world at doing. As far a changing the characteristics of the ride with 19 vs 20 vs 21 when I was deciding on my s550 I drove two back to back, one with 20s and one with 19s. I could not believe the difference it made. The 19s were so noticeably smoother that it was a "must have" on my wish list. I totally understand the desire to change the "look" with some sweet aftermarkets, as I have 3 sets of wheels for my 911. But man, to take anything away from the "luxury performance" of this masterpiece would be blasphemy in my honest opinion.
Congrats on the car. I'm interested to see what you finally do with it but my suggestion is to drive around for a while on a set of 19s and feels the dream before you do anything rash.

What issues did you have with your 63?
Edit: I saw your previous thread. Hopefully we are luck with the '16. If not, then maybe I'll push for the new green matte color on a dealer replacement

As HRE's largest dealer in the world I've got all the into and deals you need.
And agree with my fellow Porsche driver above - to lower the Maybach would be criminal.

These rims I had laying around, & gave me immediate satisfaction, the 21's from previous car looked too small...
People don't realize how big this car is untill you get up on it & pics minimize this attribute unlike in person
This car really isn't done justice in the pics, in person it really really comes together better...
I have since changed tire size
(30 front 35 rears)
It has made a huge difference in the ride & honestly
Coming from the amg s63 ****ty *** transmission is a "gift in itself" I could go with 28's & still be happier j/k.... This car is such a joy to ride huge difference
"luxury over lust " with a hint of sport look.. I'm good..Lol...
A few months from now I may try a different look.. More conventional, lighter(brushed etc) wheel.. But for now Im loving the car.
(except the black, I live in South Florida so the black is a killer tints or not...
Again, I appreciate all views & great full for everyone's input.

Sorry,
I think I replied to the wrong statement... Check out a few below for the issues.
Anyways a pic of the ol girl.. Lol..
I dug the Lil chrome accent.. With the brushed rims..
But towards the end
I was gonna black out like you have & do carbon fiber accents, which is why I originally bought the black rims you see on the Maybach..
But now they sit on her & we stay for a minute while I adjust to the
"luxury over lust" statement...no more getting here to there..
Just cruising... Lol... Kinda miss the fun of 63..but not enough to trade for the new feel...

Well, only because you asked:
1. I happen to think that the W222 looks best in Maybach trim. The extended length works great with the basic design.
2. That said, I think that unless you will be riding in the back seat most of the time, folks will mistake you for the chauffeur, running errands, as the car just doesn't look right as a personal driver.
3. The stock wheels you show look nice, but IMO, the ONLY wheels that belong on a Maybach are those lovely, Maybach exclusive dish type wheels, which I feel look just amazing. Here's a photo. They only come on the Maybach and I feel that they really complete the look of the car.
4. Putting on custom wheels like these 22's you show, make the elegant Maybach look ridiculous. The Maybach is a stately, elegant, limousine and all this talk of lowering it, putting custom wheels on and making it "aggressive" looking will make others think "there goes some rich guy with lots of money and no taste," buts that's just my, humble opinion.
