Power window switch broken
. Luckily can control the window from the driver side. I just cannot believe how shoddy the workmanship is in a car like this. Never happened in any of my cars in all these years (40 years) but had to happen in the S550 2015 luxury car. Looks like a cheap plastic switch.
Hope it can be repaired easily?

That's a bummer!
Do you know how it broke? Did someone pull to hard on it or is it just the fact that once you pull up on the switch nothing happens?
I am sure it can be easily fixed under warranty. Should be no big deal.
Just curious how you get to the thought of shoddy workmanship. Stuff happens but my '14 and '16 class in the W222 variety has been anything but shoddy workmanship. Mine have been excellent quality workmanship.
Hope you can get it fixed without any issues.
Anyway no big deal as I love the car and I am sure they will fix it. Will take to the dealer soon.
Great! It is not good if it breaks a lot.
Reminds me of the 2000 E320 4matic I own and my son drives. The window regulators go out often. I expect things like this to happen on my 16 year old car but not on my '16 S550.

. Had to wait though as it had to be ordered. Looks like it is cheap plastic in a @100,000+ car. I hope it does not happen too frequently.

I have a 2014 W222 S600 etc etc etc and today the drivers side window switch has started to not respond when attempting to lower the drivers window, all other switches and windows respond as does this switch when lifting the said window?!
Any ideas? Fixes? Solutions? Explanations?
TIA
As mentioned it is a dissapointment on a car that was £100000 when new back in 2015.
Mine were the drivers switch for the front passenger window and also one of the rear window switches in the rear offside door.
I did ask the local main dealer about doing it under my extended warranty and he said not covered, the rear switchpack was £100, just took me 5 minutes to fit after prising it out.
I got lucky with the front one and repaired it with a switch button from ebay, the colour silver was slightly off and the illumination slightly different at night, however to save well over £100 I can live with that.

I just posted a similar post yesterday, regarding a seat switch. I absolutely agree with you. The materials and construction of the small parts in our car is embarrassing, It is very easy to get to the switch. Take it out and examine it. If it's anything like my seat switch, you may be lucky and able to fix it or reseat it in its plastic case.
Sorry just noticed that original post was from 2016
