2012 E550 Sedan
If you go to Edmunds.com and use their Price Promise service it will give you special pricing upfront from your nearby dealers. For a 2016 S550 4matic in the Chicago suburbs I just saw the best deal being around $16,500 BELOW MSRP for a car that retailed for $109,500. The next best deal was from a different dealer at $11,500 BELOW MSRP.

If you wait until November/December I would not be surprised to see dealers offering $20-25,000 below MSRP on 2016 models.

Two completely different animals. S550 drivers value comfort, serenity, safety, luxury and just like driving something several bits more substantial and luxurious than most anything else on the road. E63 drivers have a need to feel that their car is somehow quicker and faster than everyone else's, even though most any Porsche will blow their doors off, not to mention any new Corvette and just SOOOOOOO many new Mustangs & Camaros. Driving fast on the street is so fifteen minutes ago. AMG cars are so juvenile. Excuse me while I switch on my massage seats and tune my Burmeister to some smooth jazz.

s550
@jumpman
I did the same search in ny and MB brooklyn is giving 17k off on a fully loaded s550. Keenan in Pa and some in nj are at 15k off and most are at 11k-10k off. My heart is set on a 2017 and will start negotiating once they arrive in the local market. I will be going for a fully loaded s550 which msrp at 120k-125k. I will be fine with a black or white s550.
