Question on Headlights

I had a fender bender late August (my fault). Although a minor accident, the cost to get the car back to its original condition was painful (2014 s550).

One of the things that got replaced was a headlamp. I don't know if it's my imagination, but driving at night, I feel as if the passenger side headlamp illuminates further out than the driver's side.

Is this normal? Or, do the headlamps need alignment and it wasn't done properly? The work was done at a collision shop recommended by the dealer; although I was apprehensive, they did a fantastic job.

Appreciate any thoughts on the headlights. Thanks.

For ILS its normal, mine does the same. I think it has something to do with illuminating the side of the road and not blinding oncoming traffic.

Thanks for the reply.

I think my headlamps definitely need alignment. I am not able to see the road clearly when it is dark and the brights are not on.

I spoke to my SA today, and he says they have a machine that aligns them. I will take the car in next week.
