Picked up my new 2017 S550 4Matic

For the 2018 W222, ten of the 17 interior choices, feature seats and carpets that are extremely light colored and, IMO, quite attractive, but horribly impractical. All three of the top line interiors are Silk Beige, with different bits of trim. Would it kill them to offer their most upscale interior in black, or a nice saddle tan or something that just might appeal a bit more to a regular GUY? I'd like to order that type of interior, but I use my car for things other than driving to the yacht club. I've been known to have 2x4's protruding through the front passenger window coming away from Home Depot. Sometimes I think they do this, just so folks will trade their cars more often. Seats get dirty? Time for a new car! I know that sounds ridiculous, but I believe they think that way.
I'd buy the same porcelain or light leather again knowing this because in my opinion, they look great and it's nice to have something other than the usual black.
Have a question for you. Do you ever notice a mild vibration in your steering wheel when in gear and idling? Shifting into park immediately stops the vibration. This seems to be something new for the '17's, as with my '16 this was not an issue (felt nothing whether load on engine or not).
On another note, you're gonna luv the new 9G trans (just give it some miles to fully adapt).
Thanks

Mine's a '17 and the old TSB doesn't seem to apply (hoping there's a new one).
My salesperson checked another new 2017 S class (sedan) and it is exhibiting the same behavior as mine. My 2016 was so smooth, there was 0 vibration in the wheel under the aforementioned conditions.
That fact it comes and goes (although never completely resolves) indicates something's not right and most likely can easily be fixed. Hoping MB comes out with a software revision soon.
Try this next time you feel it...shift into park, then back into drive and see if it gets smoother.

I love the beige/espresso interior.
My '16 S Class has the beige floor mats that not even I (the interior clean freak) could keep them clean. So I did 2 things: one I bought weathertech floor mats and two I bought the dark espresso brown floor mats that started to come standard with the 17 S Class. Why MB did not use these dark floor mats with the beige interior to begin with is beyond me. But now the beige/espresso interior comes with nice dark espresso brown mats.

Here are a few pics of my new sled. Decided to be different and go with the Diamond White Metallic and Silk Beige/Espresso Brown Nappa Leather. Lol. It's what they had on the lot that I could deal on. MSRP was $121,010 and we ended up at $106,000. They also agreed to tint the windows. I asked for 20% but it seems like 30%. Wish it was darker, but I guess I can live with it.
I love the attention to detail on the turn signal switches and the leather steering column surround, instead of generic black.
