Maybach/S560 front bumper trim swap?

I find the chrome trim around the front of the new Maybach to be quite attractive. What do we think the chances are that this trim could be installed on a non-AMG Line S560? Probably have to do a full bumper cover swap, don’t you think? I don’t much care for the front fascia on the new S560, and this trim really transforms it. MB will probably do one of those things where you have to prove Maybach ownership before they’ll sell you the parts, not to mention what the cost would be, but if I end up with a new 560, I will look into it.

I would recommend getting the Sport package; I seem to recall that you liked it and the cost for the front Maybach bumper will encroach the cost of that one

As always, thanks for the advice, but I can’t do it. I do like the look of the new AMG Line option, but as you know, I completely disagree with the idea of making a big, luxury saloon “sporty,” or more aggressive looking. And I also have a problem with the way MB prices the option. It should be a “no cost” option, or maybe a $500.00 option. $5,900.00 is just way over the top, IMO. Anyway, I like the Maybach front end even better than the AMG Line and if I did it, I’d have the only one around, which might actually be fun!

Sorry to necrobump this thread but has anyone managed to fit the Maybach Chrome Bumper on a standard W222 2018?

Am personally also interested in this since it reminds me of the sharper W221 MOPF chrome bumper.

Easy, just get those areas WRAPPED in chrome! Simple and any good installer can make it look perfect! The best part is, it will act like a 3m clear bra, and keep the chips off the front! And, you can remove it if you want later!

Fenders & grille frame are the same for both so if steadfast on OEM you will need to swap bumper.

Thank you, once again, Konigstiger. Always helpful. The idea of replacing the bumper kills it for me. Way too expensive and the car is leased. There is also the fact that a non-factory painted bumper will be much more prone to rock chips. Also, after a few months with the new car, it looks great to me just as it is.
