Unfortunately no update yet. The engineer is going back into R&D in the next month or two for the S class and C class. We should hopefully know something in the middle of the year if it will work.

I spoke with the owner of Mid-City today. He knew immediately why I was calling. I have been asking him for 6 years when the starter will be available for the W222. I am scheduled to bring my car in 2nd week of January for the install. I will keep everyone posted.

by the way they charge Total: $1,949.00 for other cars, to me that sooooo overprices and doesn't worth but I hope they are being more reasonable now. Do you know at least what's the average price he is asked for?

I have worked with Mid City for over 10 years. My car was their beta car for the first remote starter on the W221. I also had the first remote V1 install. He told me he will have it ready right after the holidays. As far as price, I don't know yet.

My car is complete with Smart Start (Drone is an option also). It works perfectly. The parameters are user controllable from the steering wheel. You can set run time, temperature that heated seats and defrost turn on, temperature cooled seats turn on, as well as other settings. The module allows for start/stop, trunk, lock/unlock, panic, and GPS tracking, geo fencing, speed alerts etc.
Response time is great. There is two way communication so you know your car is running.
Mid City has come through again.
