Yes, it definitely does support remote start. I tested it out with my iPhone the other day and it works perfectly on my 2019 S450. This feature will be of great use here in central IA after basketball games at ISU, etc. If anything, it's even colder here in the winter than in MI due to some moderation for you guys with the Great Lakes.

YAHOOOO! My car has been released to the carrier. OMG I never thought this day would come! ROFL.
So I need some advice. We are going on vacation next week so I prob don't want to pick up the new car till I get home. BUT my old car's registration with the DMV is due next week also. So do I pay that even though I will turn the car back in within about 7 days of paying it? Or do I ignore it and then will I need to pay a late fee, even though the car will not be mine after another week or 10 days?
If I pay it, can I apply that payment to the reg of the new Mercedes so I don't have to deal with the DMV?
Thanks! Kath

It gets better for the 2019 MY owners (I have a 2018). I am assuming we are talking about the phone app Mercedes Me. On the 2018 MY, you get the regular Mercedes Me app, with location, send2car, remote start, remote lock/unlock and remote horn/lights. There are some other features that pretty much lets you know if the vehicle has ignition on during specified times, if it goes over a set speed, or if it goes beyond a set perimeter etc. So far so good.
Now if you have 2019 MY, you get to download a different app called "Mercedes Me Connect" ... In addition to the above, it lets you read the odometer, fuel level, remaining range, next service date, vehicle status (engine on/off, locked/unlocked, individual tire pressure, battery condition, brakepad states, brake fluid level and many other things. And on top, it also has n Apple Watch app (regular Mercedes Me does not, as far as I can tell). Sadly I cannot use this one, as it automatically directs me to the regular Mercedes Me app, but I am looking forward to hearing from you all as to what else it has...
Don't get me wrong, I like my car, but I hate my luck when it comes to these things. I had a BMW F10 (second year build) which had 2G telematics in it, and once ATT killed that nationwide, it left all of us stranded. Of course with the LCI, it was upgraded to 3G, so I was left holding the bag, losing all these goodies... On my S560, I did not lose anything but still...

Im positive I will! I test drive an ‘18 before placing my order and I didn’t want to take the car back! I went with black exterior, the black Napa leather with diamond stitching and the gloss black designo wood trim. Amg line with the 20” multispoke wheels.

OMG jawdrop. Please post pix when you finally get it!! That sounds amazing.
Turning in my white with nut brown/black for a ruby black (deep burgundy almost black looking) with the same interior. Can't wait.

I will for sure. The ruby black is incredible. There was a Mercedes at the NAIAS auto show here in Detroit last year in that color. To this day its the only one I’ve seen- it is beautiful!

Mine is on it's way down to me -- I may have the car Fri or Sat. So then we need to determine what to do with the pick up -- wait till vacation is up or just pick it up now.
