Euro spec s63 sedan has a rear fog light in the rear diffuser between exhaust pipes.

Only issue is it's BRIGHT and you are going to crate road rage behind you. It's clear leds, and turns red when the fog is on, and it's bright.

Fog Lights? " turns red when the fog is on" Red when driving and Clear when in reverse makes more sense....

Correct, it doesn't turn on with reverse, just for fog feature.

"This high intensity light is meant to be illuminated during periods of inclement weather such as fog, smoke or heavy precipitation thereby preventing a rear end collision by a following vehicle.

It should not be used during normal visibility conditions as its brightness can dazzle following drivers. It is about as bright as flashing the brake lights. The further away from the vehicle you are the brighter they become.
20 feet away and they are blinding. Trust me if this light is turned on when visibility is normal the guy behind you is going to be very pissed off. Much brighter, very much brighter than any other light on the rear of the vehicle.

Some US drivers misuse the light, I think, because they don't know what its real purpose is and its deleterious effect on following drivers when visibility is good."

ALso, the whole housing doesn't light up, only a certain portion:

So is there a FogLight button? Is the last photos, they are red, not white.... Thanks for the photos and information. In the photos, it basically looks like a 4th Brake Light. Not Clear white light... How do you actually activate them?
Thanks again....

Correct, it's a clear lens, clear led, that TURNS RED when on. This is on the EURO spec S class, Not usa.

Care to share more info? That post doesn't say much. Cost? How did you set it up to function? Separate switch, or did you get an OEM switch?

I think the cost is in the link

Shop installed it with a small discrete button in the overhead console, could not get the OEM switch to work

I don't recall the labor but wasn't crazy
