XPEL and Ceramic Coating

Picking up my S63 tomorrow ( black ) and was going to do the XPEL on the entire front. What’s your thoughts about the front only, verse the whole car. I was also debating on doing the ceramic coating. Black is a nightmare to keep up with against swirl marks so I was hoping it would help against it. With the Xpel do you notice it like the old 3M or has it greatly improved since then.

The downside is cost. So if you dont care much about the condition of the paint, skip it. When i get my S560, i would not sleep at night if i got a stone chip in the front. Here i am finally getting the car of my dreams, and you tell me i have to live with stone chips? Forget it.
I am doing Xpel on my whole car, and ceramic on the rims. Some say you can coat Xpel with Ceramic, for easier maintenance, but there may be an issue with the 10 years warranty. I would Ceramic coat everything not covered by Xpel.

Better to Xpel the front than nothing. I have no experience with worn Xpel myself, but my dealer says i only have to machine wash my car to restore the Xpel to look brand new.

I did my whole car (S63) with Xpel and did cquartz on top of it. Also did cquartz on wheels and calipers as well.

Does it change the look of the paint at all? Or you can’t tell. I’m definitely doing the full front still in debate about the sides and rear

In my previous car I had ceramic coating , it seemed to protect the paint against chemicals that normally would damage the paint .I was told that once you had a ceramic coating you should only use water not other cleaning agents were needed . However, in my present car I had clear wrap it provides better protection against stones ,chips too . May be only front end is needed but I think the whole car is better considering it could minimize the damage of the door dings but that's my thought I have not it confirmed yet
