Ok, so I was able to install this very thin charger and everything works great! The flush mount charger is 2.4A per usb port, and the ashtray closes with no issues. The only issue I ran into, is that I cannot mount/secure the charger in place because of the way the cupholder "flap" works. If I put the charger too far back, the wood lid cannot close; too far forward and it covers the latch to the "flap" for the cupholders. Anyone else encounter this, or figure out a different way to mount this? Other than this small issue, this charger along with the location is perfect and works great!
I made one for my cup holder I like it a lot I'm going to hard wire it in from the fuse box This is just a prototype I'm going to make it a little nicer there is a pocket where the phone sits and can't slide around
