The W&C Pkg. does not reduce trunk space. HOWEVER, in order to be able to order the W&C Pkg., you MUST also order the Power Outboard Rear Seats With Memory Pkg. and that option DOES reduce trunk space. Another way MB won’t allow you to have your car the way YOU want it.
EDIT: 9:52 PM CDT - I looked up the specs online for my 2014 S550 and it says 16.3 CF. The 2018 S450 trunk space is also 16.3 CF on one site and 18.7 CF on an actual MB site. That's what really confuses me. Could it be that the 18.7 CF is the standard model with no W & C package? Streamliner, what exactly is your trunk space on your new S560 with the W & C package? Thanks!

No wonder I get a message that says if I remove the Power Rear Seats with memory I also have to remove the W & C package. That's kind of crazy. I don't know what to do now. I don't want to have a smaller trunk space than what I have on the 2014 model. I do not comprehend why I cannot order it with just the W & C package without the Power Outboard with memory package.

I have a 17 model . I love the surround cameras but I just wish they would come on automatically when your speed is under 5 mph so that I could park without hitting those pesky cement parking curbs just in front of a sidewalk. I have to press the hard to find camera button on the left to activate it. At least I have the option.

Another nit-pick on my 2018: My 2015 had a button to press that would turn on the surround view camera without putting the car in reverse. This button was eliminated on the 2018 and as far as I have been able to ascertain, the only way to turn the camera on, is to put the car in reverse. Why?

I checked my S560, and the same button is there. In the E200d, i press the P button, and the car starts to scan for parking, then click the wheel and it changes between camera angles. It is more key presses, but at least it turns the camera on. I think it operates the same in the S560 but will not know until i get mine.

I loved my 2013 W221 S550, but was a fool to think that this “glass half empty” personality of mine could deal with an Obsidian Black car, so I traded it in and made a brief detour to a 2014 ML350BT, only to find out that I am not an SUV guy. I missed my big S Class so much that I found a fellow here on MBW to take over the lease on the ML and ordered a new 2015 S550 Sedan. The 2015 was good to me, but it never really blew me away, so I wasn’t sad to see it go when I turned it in at the end of a 3 year lease with 37K on the clock and took delivery of a new S560 that I ordered.
Well, the new car has about 550 miles on it and I must say I am in LOVE! With the exception of the diminished trunk space noted in another thread here and a couple of nit-pick items, IMO, virtually everything about this car is reasonably—if not significantly better than in my 2015.
The engine is smoother and quieter. The 9-speed trans is much smoother and better suited to the big car than the old 7-speed. The MBC works significantly better and the ride & steering seem much smoother, precise and more buttoned down. The "Curve" feature on the MBC alone is worth the price of the option, as it is nothing short of SENSATIONAL! The operation of the Distronic is much improved as well and I use it constantly on the freeway, even in bumper to bumper traffic. I have not heard one word from the Panorama Roof, whereas the one in the 2015 would never shut up. To top it all off, I love the Iridium Silver—that never seems to get dirty—the new front end design and the look of the 18” wheels offered for 2018. To sum up: I can’t believe how much better this 2018 is over my 2015.

Why would you get the S-Class when you could have a TESLA instead????!!

You know, I ordered the car in Selenite Gray, without the Night Vision. About 30 days later, I changed the color to Iridium Silver and added Night Vision. The salesman did not change my order, but placed a completely new order, in Iridium Silver, but without the Night Vision. By the time I realized what happened, it was too late to change the order. I've never had the option or experienced it. I was going to go for it, because anything that adds to safety is probably worth it.
