Sorry for the delay but got the tint, clear bra work and wheels installed. Man, she's a looker. I don't drive it much but when I do people constantly break their necks. I've also got approached, more then a few times, at the gas station and when at lunch. People see the outside and immediately want to see the inside. Needles to say the car is a hit!

I love the looks and when in sport mode it lowers just right to fill in the gap! I thought I'd need a lowering module but after installing the 22's there is no need. Ride is still great too!

First off, my belated congrats to the OP. The car looks Ab Fab. Enjoy it and have many happy and safe miles in it.

Second, Lexus, f****ed up. The new LS is just plain f****ing hideous.

Congrats!!! The car looks amazing!!!

I am thinking about going up to the 22" on my S550, was wondering if you are running runflats. If so, how is the ride quality. If not, what are you using for a spare?

2017 550SL - 2018 560S

Exactly my own experience. I thought I would never find a car I enjoyed more than my 2007 Lexus LS460L. Don't put on a lot of miles so I just kept driving it until the replacement 2018 LS was released. That front end was such a turn-off - just couldn't imagine what Lexus was thinking of. Tried to get past it by taking a test drive. 15 minutes of total frustration with the 2018 Lexus infotainment system was all it took to begin my search elsewhere. I tried Audi, Porsche, BMW and then finally Mercedes. 72 years old and I had never even driven a Mercedes; the S560 was such a perfect fit for us. The only downside was that I wasted my first 72 years without the Mercedes experience. We loved the S560 so much, 8 months later we added the 550SL to our garage. The S and the SL are the perfect pair for us; such a different experience in so many ways but together it's the ideal combination for us.

2017 550SL - 2018 560S
Bought the 2018 S560 new in June 2018 and the 2017 SL500 CPO November of 2018. Almost traded the S560 for the SL500; so very happy we didn't make that mistake. Love the 100% different driving experience afforded by having both of them. This photo was when we picked up the SL; had to have a couple of service items done on the S560 and our dealer surprised us with the bows when we picked them both up.

Yes, I truly love the difference in driving experience between my S560 & SL450. If I could only have one, it would be the sedan, but having both is the best of both worlds.

That is the best color combination. I wish you could get it in plan non-metallic white as that would be better and would have even more gleam when properly detailed. White with porcelain/black is the way to go.

Well, with all this gushing over the OP’s car, I guess it’s left to me to be the contrarian, as usual.

I think the car is absolutely gorgeous—in the “as delivered” photo. I think those original AMG wheels look great and the original tires look great as well. To me, putting those DUBS on this car looks way too ghetto for me. In addition, the rubber band tires are just an insane choice for a car that is supposed to be comfortable and provide a very smooth ride. OK, I’m ready: Who will be the fist one to say how they “really don’t notice any difference in the ride quality?” Every time this topic is brought up, there are those who insist that their W222 with 28” rims and NO tires, rides as smoothly as it did with the 18” wheels it came with.

I’ve said this before, but since there are so many new members, here it is again: Seeing wheels & tires like these on an S Class, is like seeing a beautiful woman in 6” stilettos. They may look very sexy, but are damn near impossible to walk in, let alone be comfortable in. Oh well, to each his own, but I prefer a set up that doesn’t transfer the running over of a cigarette butt into the seat of my pants. Wishing the OP many thousands of safe, enjoyable miles, but watch out for road hazards.......such as butterfly wings.

Agree 100% but to each his own. I would never get 22's on my MB but that's why they sell them, because some people will. Not many though, but some.
