If you paid attention upthread I already have done so, as early as yesterday. The sport version of the E class does suck, and any Mercedes on springs does suck. Period. You're not comparing apples to apples and if you bothered to pay attention you would have seen, just earlier today, I already said I just drove the E and S back to back, with the E specced with air shocks.
The only thing I have not been able to drive is the S class with MBC because that does not exist in Canada.
Car And Driver tested the E class with air springs and their comments were all positive when it came to ride. You know how I know? I read it just this morning as a result of perusing this thread as well.

Love my S Class. I went to the dealer to buy a new E63 after having a 2008 and 2012 S63 but my buddy who has an E55 came with me and said the back seat was much smaller than his E55. He said "dude, don't get the E63, the back seat space was miserable".
So I got the S63 since I regularly shuttle my friends around in the car.
My niece likes the car too.

Another thing to consider between the E vs S is you can get fold down rear seats on the E, but not on the S. That might matter to some people who need to carry large items. Also, if you do a lot of city driving or have to park in parking garages the S will be more stressful to drive in those narrow situations, so make sure you get the 360 degree camera option if you get the S.

I waffle back and forth between the E and the S-Class depending on the body style. I really didn't like the W220 body at all and went with an E-Class that time. So I had an 88 300E (w124), then an 99 S (w140), 05 E (w211) , back to the S with a 07 S (W221) and I'm looking for a W222 now to replace that. The S class is larger to be sure but I really never minded driving any of the E-classes that I've owned.
