Spilled sugary drink into console buttons
It became apparent to me that my navi, radio, back, and hazard buttons felt sluggish when pressed. I finally saw tell-tell signs that I had spilled some sugary drink into the console area of my car. This then seeped down in between the hard buttons. I took a water-saturated paper towel and pushed the water down in between the buttons , then pushed a dry paper towel into those buttons while pressing on them. I repeated that process about 4 or 5 times and everything seems great again.

All I know is, my trick worked without introducing more chemicals. I did consider using electronic spray but I felt in this case I needed to "pull" the sugar out by absorption. I didn't pour water into the buttons. Just allowed a tad to seep in. Checked it again this afternoon and the buttons are clicking again like normal. I wonder how difficult it would be to get that whole panel of buttons out of the console?

When I bought my S550 all the buttons were sticking. I owned an auto detailing business and when we ran into this issue we would spray the buttons with winded or an interior detailer solution, let it sit for a minute or so then use a shop vac and suck all the liquid out then dry the remaining with a microfiber. Always works. The solution would dissolve whatever was causing the stickiness and then you shop vac it all out.
