Just bought a 2016 s600 maybach sticker of 193k and no remote start option my car was apparently an early 2016 model so no remote start with the app I can only lock and unlock the car I think it's completely ridiculous I live in fl and it's hot as hell anyone know of a solution thanks if I can't figure out a fix I guess I'll sell it and buy one a month newer 😂😂😂

Interesting. Our 2016 Maybach does have the start in the app. What is different that I see is that on our app it does not say Maybach. It simply says S600X. Perhaps you might be able to assign a standard S600 as the car in your app and get it to work. If you do figure it out just know you have 10 minutes of run time when you do the remote start.
Strangely our 2018 AMG gtc does NOT have the remote start in the app so I know how you feel since we also live in Florida.....
I called the Mercedes me they told me my car was one of the first 2016s and wasn't equipped with remote start it says Maybach in the app because I typed it in lol

Oh ok. Got you. If it means anything we dont seem to use our remote start that often. Mercedes does some things kind of strange and for example you cant remote start the car with the key fob. Or you might notice that video player is only DVD with NO hdmi inputs. Instead there are RCA inputs...... Finally your wireless hotspot or if online MBrace subscription is 3g not 4g so its pretty slow. We never did pay for the service once the trial was over...............

Oh I fotgot. Your prolly still under warranty. There is prolly a new filmware update for your car. You can call the dealer and inquire about it. I remember we got a map update on our car once.
I'm going in first thing Monday I'll pay whatever it cost if anything but I use my remote start almost every day in my sportchassis truck turns on and the cooled seats turn on
If not I'll sell it and buy another one this car is amazing my only 2 complaints are the 20 gallon gas tank and the remote start extra room for the kids and the ride quality are amazing

One suggestion. You will see a post I did recently. Our car loves to eat the inside edge of the rear tires and leave you with a bad tire. I am experimenting but I NOW have the pressure set to 48psi and the car rides the same and perhaps we wont have any tire failure issues..........
Also if you like doing the maintenance on the car its very easy if you but the Mercedes WIS off ebay for about 12 dollars. All the directions for service are there......

I'm surprised that remote start would be a deal killer for you, or anyone. Years ago, there was no such thing as remote start and we all got along just fine. I live in Washington DC and it's 90-96 degrees for at least 1/2 the summer up here with very high humidity. Even if I had remote start (actually, I do), I would never use it. I simply go to my car, turn it on, put on the A/C and roll. No big deal at all. It cools off so quickly and I have a dark car with a black interior. It's in the hot baking sun all day when I'm at work. We've become a soft society.
Oh yea super soft Steve how about I bought a car MB says has remote start and it ****ing doesn't my wife's 2015 46k dollar Cadillac has remote start standard my 193k dollar MB doesn't and it's supposed to it's a deal breaker for me u live your life and I'll live mine I love the car I would rather pay to have this one retrofitted with remote start than sell it and buy another one it's amazing all the things this car has and can do text me when it is driven after a certain time text me if it goes over a certain mph text me if it goes half mile outside of valet zone the ****ing thing has Wi-Fi and you can't remote start it recliners Tvs night vision camera 360° cameras it can park itself and I cant start it the biggest problem I think I have is it's supposed to have it so no one makes an aftermarket adaptor I don't care what it cost to add it I'll pay it

I picked up a Cadillac XT5 for my daughter, I was amazed it had the following features.... Don't get me wrong, I am not comparing the Sclass in a negative light, it too has items features that are amazing.
Has Remote Start
When you have the AC on, you can set the Vented Seats to come on automatically It will also adjust the fan speed accordingly. It will remember this after every start and will only activate on the occupied seats.
Same with the Heated Seats.
When you get too close to a car in front of you, as in parking in a tight spot, the 360 cameras will turn on automatically (while pulling in head first) so you can see your front bumper and the car in front.
You can actually hear the rear parking sensors. In the S the volume is so low, its a shame, with no ability to adjust.
HUD display is amazingly clear.
I don't think the S needs remote start, especially in the colder climates, everything heats up so quick, especially if you have the heated sills and armrests. The AC in the S is also so good, it cools down the cabin extremely fast. But, it would be nice to have.

im a dealer for mid city and yes there is one for last gen w221. I agree the car should have it, no excuse. The question is, if you turn on cooled or heated seats then turn car off, will it remember when u start it again???

I'm not defensive your just some guy in Cali that thinks he is better than other people u know nothing about me my life my story and what I've done my stepdad died when I was 14 we were poor I had to quit school to help keep food on the table and the lights on I belive education is huge I'm 34 years old and I have paid for my brother and sisters collage along with a 3rd sibling there now and I'm footing the bill who cares if I don't use punctuation or correct grammar all I know is this hillbilly is driving an s600 and I'm living my best life hopefully u enjoy yours p.s.
