Now I see the advantage of CPO purchase
Just located the Mercedes CPO standards pdf on the Mercedes website. After reading through these steps that they perform I see the importance of purchasing CPO even if does cost more! You more experienced guys please chime in with Positive and or Non-Positive points pertaining to CPO. Thanks.

Ill be honest other than a non cpo car being cheaper, its foolish to not buy the car cpo(obviosly there are rare instance where oportunity comes up). Im on my 2nd cpo s class and have also bought 2 cpo 7 series. For the most part these are the cream of the crop cars w no issues. 99% of the time new brakes and tires full service and a fresh detail. A waranty and the ability to extend the factory warty.... so for the most part you can drive the car under factory warty almost as log as if you bought it new. Plus most of the ones are already exceptional condition cars. If you shop it right you wont even pay a lot more especially considering what a set of brakes and tires will run you.

I've purchased and Leased both Mercedes and BMW, and the only way i will buy pre owned european, is CPO. too many costly repairs can happen especially after 30-40k miles. its worth the extra cost!

I have a '15 ML350 that I bought in late 2015 as a CPO. Negotiated a good price on the extra two years of warranty so I'm currently covered until the beginning of 2022 (7 years total from original in-service date). The car presently has 135,000 miles on it. I'm seriously considering keeping it until the warranty is up just to see how many miles it will have on it and still be under warranty.

When you say Manheim access, is there a link you can share or provide more information. Definitely don't want a White car. I'll be looking for these colors: Paladium Silver, Lunar Blue, Ruby Black and the Verde Brook. Thanks for you r input!

No link ans i dont have the access anymore, but you could pull up a list of cars that were coming into the auction and what price they expected them to be at and the condition rating. But options lists were sketchy so you had to know by eye what packages the cars had or do a vin check. I saw very little discount to no discount on anything desireable.

99% of the time I buy CPO to start and drive it until the wheels fall off. I usually never extend the warranty. If you can afford a car like this then you can afford to fix it. Of course if there is a warranty offered then of course get it,
