MB First Class Wheel and Tire Protection Plus

I would be interested in hearing from those that have purchased MB First Class Wheel and Tire Protection Plus and have had claims for damage. How simple was was claim process? Did they pay 100% for wheel and/or tire? Did they repair the wheel or replace it?
I have read that some claim it was not good coverage, wheel was repaired instead of replaced with a new wheel, i.e. Weld repair for cracks. Cosmetic damage claims?
I have 20” AMG wheels and not Pothole friendly to the roads in Ohio.
I appreciate your experiences.

I have it and just recently was on the freeway and hit 3 large industrial size nails that punctured 3
tires and damaged 2 wheels, Safeguard ( google Safeguard ) whom is the insurer of MBusa’s wheels and tire protection was good ( 90% ) to cover the claim. My dealer had the fight the claim, but got it cover.

Is it worth it for Socal roads, yes and then some. Replaced 3 tires ( about $400 each tire ) and 2 wheels ( $3,800 each wheel ) so the claim already repaid itself.

If you had 50% thread life on your tire before the claim, they will prorate it for a new tire. If the wheel has cosmetic damage, they will refinish the wheel to factory look, if it’s bent or crack, you can ask for replacement. Hope this help.
