Well, in a way I was suggesting how he should spend his money, so it applies to me! And yes, definitely... love my off-topic discussions. Hopefully somebody finds something I said to be of use! Or, at least entertaining...

As someone who is also interested in financing a dream car, I can understand the dilemma you're facing. While I'm no financial advisor, it's always a good idea to shop around for the best interest rate. It's possible that your credit union might offer a better rate than what the dealer is offering.As for leasing, it might make sense if you're not planning on keeping the car for the long haul, but since you mentioned that you want to keep it for a long time, financing might be a better option for you. In any case, it's always a good idea to do your research and compare offers before making a decision. I recently came across one excellent source for that.
