I think anyone owning a German Car (or any car now in 2020 for that matter) should consider extended warranties anyway. Leasing is a trade off that limits the expense you will have if parts break down after the original warranty is up. My mom purchased a fully loaded Firenze Red Range Rover Supercharged LWB in January of 2015. Three years later, the Firenze Red was eliminated from the color list UNLESS you selected the SVR Autobiography LWB - for $220,000. Per our inquiry, they refused to have ANY OTHER Range Rover painted Firenze Red unless it was that specific model. Given that my mom doesn't want any other color - we opted to purchase an extended warranty that covers the car to 100,000 miles and we will make a decision later for her as to what she wants to do. Go figure - Range Rover with its long sad history of being at the mechanics more than on the road - has given us no issues whatsoever - and in life's small ironies - I bet (with no regrets) that the purchase of this extended warranty will be at a complete benefit to Ray Catena because the car has been a battleship since day 1. I've had 4 S Classes in a row - some were good - some were bad. Have a friend in PA that had 4 top of the line Mercedes - Some were good - some were bad (one in particular was horrendous). Our next door neighbor returned her BMW X5 five weeks after purchasing it because it literally broke down every day. They gave her a new one - which is flawless - and her husband loved it so much that he got himself one too - also flawless I am told. My dad had Two 7 series in a row (a 2001 E38 740iL Protection GORGEOUS!) and the 2014 750 Individual - Both flawless - never a problem. I have a 2017 Porsche 4S - Overheated no fewer than 4 times and became disabled. A famous youtuber had a Porsche 911 problem - so bad that he became famous because of that. Purchased a second 911 years later .... and just got it bought back by the dealership too. Family friend has a 2004 Porsche 4S that never saw a repair shop unless for routine oil change. My point is - its almost impossible to call any one manufacturer better than another because there are always exceptions to the rule.

Anyone wanna talk about Lotus Esprit? lol

I think not.
YES, and no 20 year old Valets here, maybe around 30+ and up (see it at the Casino's, golf clubs, etc.. Mercedes always wins the front spot if it's a choice with bmw or Mercedes. Have seen this my whole life and nothing has changed. Now, if there's a lambo, bye bye Mercedes. (also grew up reading Robb Report, etc. they still say it as well and what it always gets highest rated

Fair enough. Here in NYC (Perhaps not in Manhattan since Valet Parking is almost non existent - all the high end restaurants in Brooklyn / Long Island tends to have the very youthful valet parking attendants.

Class system in car parking is so shallow.I guess its done to make the establishment look good. If you're ever in Miami and visit the Forge Steakhouse - It's Rolls Royce Phantoms all day long - same with Long Island's famous Bryant and Cooper Steakhouse. It's not BMW vs Rolls - its Ferrari vs Aston Vanquish and Phantom Dropheads. The Mercedes and BMW are parked in the back of the lot - unseen.
