W222 Squeaky magic vision wipers
So I replaced my magic vision wipers on my 2017 S350d, at £130 for the pair I didnt expect any issues.
My older blades didnt clean as well as the new ones but they also didnt make any squeaky noises.
When its raining they are making awful squeaky noises, they appear to squeak at the point they change direction on the windshield every time.
Heres what I've tried so far but nothing has fixed it:
1) I washed the windshield thoroughly with just warm water.
2) clay bared with warm water.
3) cleaned with a good glass cleaner https://gtechniq.com/products/auto/p...-perfect-glass
I'm thinking now about using a water repellent product like this: https://gtechniq.com/products/auto/p...ion-screen-kit
Anyone else had a similar issue after buying new wiper blades?

So why don't they align blades at the factory. Mine has been like above since the car was new.
Or perhaps this cannot be avoided for a car like mine that sits a lot in the garage and does not see rain regularly to refresh the wipers. After some driving in the rain, the noise disappears.
I know the wiper tool, probably useful in many cases, worth a try.

sigh. I asked about it right when my warranty expired and they were going to charge 1 hour of labor to look into it. Decided to just leave it be and hope new wipers would do the trick. Hint, it did not but that’s what they suggested too

misadjusted wiper arms..
OP points out expertly how he noticed the blades are noisy near the turn around point. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Wipers are adjusted a hair short from being noisy at production time... noisy wiper arms only needs to be twisted a tiny bit for wiper blades angles to then be right by the turn around point when they stop to reverse.
Noise is gone rain or shine, new or old blades

I have this problem with squeaking too but mine is a bit strange.
Only the left one is with problem and if I changed it, it is ok for a few days/weeks and after that, the problem reappears and is very very annoying.
I am thinking that the spring is not strong enough and the force which is applied on the windshield by the wiper, is not strong enough.
Any ideas?

The arm spring is plenty strong enough to apply gentle pressure along the blade length.
This is a known standard MB issue: the wiper blade angle to windshield is adjusted wrong in factory, year after years.
Dealers are given a lengthy procedure to blow this 5mn job into a valuable maintenance.

I've always followed a 3 step approach and it hasn't let me down, with any car as of yet. But maybe I've been lucky.
First clean the windshield as well as possible
Then clean the wipers themselves with some alcohol. If you feel any nicks, hard spots, or irregularities, they will need to eb replaced
Next step is Rain-X. I've also used other things, and the leather cleaner might work too. Normally with the first three steps I'm good to go. YMMV
