Whistling Noise

I have recently noticed a slight whistling noise between the speed of 60 and 70 mph on my S560. I even shifted the gears manually but the noise stays between 60 and 70 miles. Has anyone experienced the same issue with their S class?

Cant say that I have herd any whistling on my s class (it has a different engine than yours) but my AMG GTC makes A LOT of whistling. I came to realize that it was the active airflow shutters opening and closing that was causing the whistling. Perhaps your model year S has these shutters in the front that open and close.

Something else I forgot about. Over the 65000 miles I have had the Maybach I have taken the belly pan down a number of times and the crap that gets up in the heat exchangers is astounding, There is a chance you have crap in causing this whistle such as a piece of plastic stuck in there.

I see you have a lot of miles on your car too. When did you purchase your Maybach? I bought mine March 2017. I have 78,000 miles on it and it has been flawless. I now am driving a 2016 E350 with unlimited mileage warranty to use as my daily driver.

Hmmm I don’t recall when we brought it. Must have been early 17. Very few issues. It eats the inside of tires but I figured out how to fix that, raise pressure above car r commendations to tire max pressure. Aside from that a warranty front suspension arm that was making a small squeal. Only other issues were two idler pulleys replaced and one air conditioning hose leak. OHHH and the dam heads up display snare drum issue that took three trips to the dealer and in the end me fixing it. Funny what a little felt can do.

We share our drive time with the Ford van for trips to the gym and rainy days, and the 18 AMG GTC (that car is approaching 30000 miles) which is also very comfortable for reasonable trips.
