I had this happen in another car with a Nano. Nano is not the same as an iPod I learned. Although its called an iPod nano?? Either way I then used an old phone and my square actual iPod and it worked. The nano is not always supported. I am using my old iPhone 5 as my iPod in the Benz.

I use an iPod Nano in my 2017 S and it works flawlessly. Once you connect it for the first time you might have to log in to your iTunes account on the device to make it functional.

I hear ya brother! I still have thousands of 12" records from the 80"s in milk crates from being a DJ back in the day! LOL I keep threatening to convert them into digital for my iTunes. .......Bought the record to digital converter thing....its been in my closet for years!

USB music with MBUX

Thank you for a very informative thread. I’ve been able now to put my archived iTunes music onto a USB stick to play in my car. Does anyone have any advice on how to prevent the system “resetting” the music every time I restart my car? I’ll be in the middle of an album, fill up with fuel, then drive off again only for the music to restart with the theme to Last of the Mohicans! I’m also unable to use the linguatronic search for music which worked fine in my previous car that that had Comand.
any further advice would be most appreciated.
thanks
Paul
