Push snaps on the back head rest
Does anyone know what these two push snaps are on the back of the headrests? I didn't see anything in the manual about them.

same here, during the past few weeks almost every time someone drives with me and set in the back they have to compliment the soft cushy headrests of these extra pillows!. I had them for years but just installed them this year.

No, my car came with pillows for rear only. Usually they come inside the back storage compartment wrapped in plastic clear bag. Actually believe it or not I just opened it 2 months ago and installed them, I don't know why I kept them stored all that long :O

LOL. I believe what was meant was that there are two more snaps in the front of the rear headrest. And yes there are only two rear headrest pillows.

There was/is on my ‘14, ‘16 and ‘19 S550s and S63s so I am positive yours has them as well. There is one snap on the bottom of the rear headrest.

Happy Holidays everyone!
Installing the rear pillows had me pulling my hair out.
MTrauman's second picture is perfect. It shows the hardest part to locate: the Elusive Bottom Head Restraint Snap. It's only accessible when the headrest is adjusted to the forward position. (Yes, it does adjust forward.) The snap is not located on the upholstery-colored head restraint materials but on the black "neck" of the unit that only becomes visible and/or felt once the restraint is adjusted forward. Like a turtle's neck extending out of it's shell. Otherwise the snap is hidden. For clarity, MTrauman's second picture is oriented as if the camera lens is lying on the rear seat of the car, looking upward toward the roof, and angled slightly trunk-ward to view the bottom of the head restraint.
From p.133 of the manual:
Supplementary cushion for luxury head
restraints
The supplementary cushion is available on
vehicles with electrically adjustable rear
seats.
Only use the supplementary cushion when
the vehicle is stationary.
The supplementary cushion is located in the
vehicle.
The supplementary cushion is attached to the
head restraint by three press studs.
Installing the supplementary cushion:
> Position the head restraint as far forwards
as possible (> page 123).
> Hold supplementary cushion ; against
the head restraint and push press studs :
into the counterpieces.
Removing the supplementary cushion:
> Position the head restraint as far forwards
as possible (> page 123).
> Release press studs : and remove supplementary
cushion ;.

My 2017 S550 did not come with them. I purchased them separately. Like others said, I too got lots of compliments on them. It really makes the rear seats that much more enjoyable and comfortable. My 2020 S560 is fully loaded including the rear seat package and they were included. Well worth buying if you don't have them and have people use the rear seat on occasion.

I double check my car with the power rear seats and the warmth and comfort package, and the pillows are no where to be found. Where did any of you buy yours? I see a few options with prices all over the place. Are the "cheap" ones the same as the OEM ones?
