Code U0416 on MB 550S
Hi,
I am new here and not sure if this is the correct place to post questions for help. Sorry if I am not at the right place. Let me know and I would correct it.
We purchased a 2014 MB 550S from an auction and it had engine light, ASR light and ABS lights on. When we drove it first time before doing any repairs, it drove fine even at 80 mph without feeling anything except for the lights being on. The car was diagnosed as having speed sensors being defective, so we replaced the speed sensors with OEM ones. The engine light went away, but the ASR remained and new code U0416 appeared and the car would not accelerate above 45 mph. We checked if the speed sensors were properly installed or if there was any cringed wire connection during replacement and they were properly installed. Our mechanic is baffled and cannot pin point where the problem is.
Has anybody experienced something similar or can help? Any help is very appreciated
