Any suggestions on cleaning the display screens? Are they like an iPhone? Mine are full of dust. In my BMW, the screen smeared and never recovered.

 

I use a microfiber towel and just a little bit of water. It lifts all the dirt and oil right off. But the towels themselves need to be laundered separately and with a microfiber friendly soap.

They are sold everywhere, and the Chinese ones have become very good in quality. But the best microfiber still comes from Korea. I buy in bulk for my company from theragcompany.com

Hopefully the smear on your BMW is from oil and not because some antireflective coating was rubbed off.

 

Dry optical microfiber cloth, or a slightly moistened optical cloth with water.

 

Unless you get spittle on the screens, you can remove the dust with a camel hair's brush.
For spittle, you need a just barely damp rag and use no pressure.

 

Don’t use a Brillo pad with Comet Cleanser!

 

Ive heard 3000 grit sandpaper with a lot of elbow grease works wonders.

 

Ouch, That would be called a matte finish!

 

Belt sander cleaned mine right up.

 

I use the ZEISS product on my S550 and I'm happy with it. or you can use wet face tissue
