W222 Backup camera retrofitted, how to activate
I have a W222 S550 2015, was flood damaged. Just finished fixing it and noticed the backup camera does not come on.
Its all showing ok in xentry but it says have to be activated (on reverse) in COMAND. I cannot see anywhere in comand to activate even with vediamo
Heres the rub, after checking the datacard, I see this actual car did not come with a backup camera. When fixing it, I replaced the trunk handle without checking closely, the older one must not have had a camera.
Strange how all the wiring was there for the camera and even the camera cover
Is there any easy way to activate this in either comand or front SAM? Not sure if it can be done in VEDOC. Did they even have this model with just reverse cam, or is the option nothing or the 360 surround view (option code 510)
thanks in advance

Have found the solution in Vediamo
Its under Variant Coding section 1. VCD_Assistance_Application. There is an option for SVS/RVC (surround view system or Rear View Camera) I changed it from NOT INSTALLED to RVC Installed. Works fine now
