My buddy just got a 2019 S560, blk, blk, 11k mi - Great ceramic coat guy reference...

So my friend just bought a 2019 S560 blk on blk with 11k miles and asked me about detailing it. I recommended him contact Matt or Travis at Flawless Finish Detailing in Laurel MD, he comes to your house to do the whole job. Matt is the guy that did mine 2 years ago when I got my 2018 S63 and I was beyond impressed. He ended up doing my 2012 911 Porsche Turbo S a year later as well (6 months ago). My buddy was skeptical about spending (EDIT) $1460 for full car ceramic treatment, $200 for 4 wheels ceramic treatment and $40 for supplies....$1700 total... to ceramic coat it to protect it but I highly suggested it, and to do the wheels too. He just had it done and sent me the pics. He's super happy as was I. Great investment. If anyone lives in the DMV (Maryland/DC/N VA area) I (we'd) highly recommend Min (Matt)! Fantastic work. I thought he was going to get it clear bra'd too but he decided to only do the ceramic coat and he ended buying some of the products from him as well to keep it looking perfect. Not cheap but it took 3 days to do the whole job. Mine took 2. He is the ultimate OCD perfectionist which is what you want in a car detailer/ceramic coat guy. In addition to doing a great job, he was a super friendly, chill person, and a very interesting person to talk with as well We spoke for quite a bit of time about cars, what he was doing, how he did it, other cars he did, and why he had such a passion for it which is obvious when you meet him.

Nice, did he get it from an MB dealer, wonder of they did the oil plug recall prior to delivery?

I'll let him know about that recall and he did get it from a MB Dealer in Richmond. They delivered it right to his door and he bought it sight unseen. He is super excited about it.

Im sorry but I just dont get these new crazy stage whatever uber expensive details. I have to ask how do you feel when you take that car out the first time after it is done?

I have a buddy who spends almost double this and I just dont get it, Yes, the car looks great but when used it gets just as dirty just as quick an and actually shows it even more as the car is so perfect. I do agree it does cleans off easier but he pays the same guy to wash the car so it just makes his job easier.

Please do not let anyone sand, polish or whatever your paint to so called perfection. A car needs to be painted with additional coats to achieve this not just remove stock paint. They have no way of telling how much clear coat is removed just total mills. UV protection is in film build and the more you remove the less you have. Also your paint can only take this maybe once in a lifetime at best so I dont get doing it to a new car. The more perfect a paint job the more flaws it shows. Nobody who has painted and wet sanded a car themselves would do this to a stock vehicle.

Im not bashing and the car looks great I just dont understand it?
