Bringing back an older thread for those that have the 3D audio system. I find in 3D it does not sound very good strange? I find myself always in the live setting where I think it sounds great. Anyone else have this experience. Ive tried all different types of music and sources. I'm currently listening to most of my music in "Tidal" streaming service. I also have a three month trial of Amazon HD but a lot of the time cant seem to get that to work right for some reason. Songs do not load a lot of the time.

On another matter, I notice on my cars build sheet it says it has wiring for a CD player but there is no CD player in the glove box. Has anyone added a CD a player purchasing it from the dealer who had the wiring and what was the cost. I'm gonna ask the dealer about this on Monday and see what they say.

Make sure your settings on Tidal are set to stream at Masters quality over cellular data, and turned "Optimized playback" off

I have had the exact same experience as you. I can’t say that the 3-D setting sounds bad, it just doesn’t sound much better than any of the others. I agree with you that the live setting sounds the best. That’s the one I use almost all the time. To me, the live setting fills the cabin more, especially in the backseat. If you’re streaming the TIDAL hi-fi music, that should be about as good as it gets. As far as the CD player, my car is a 2014 and I already have one built in so I can’t help you.

My CD player/changer is located near the cupholder area, not glove box. I think the 3d stereo sounds better than any system I've had in the past (whether my own or OEM). Strange yours does not.

I agree that the Burmester 3-D stereo is a great system. I am just saying that the 3-D setting doesn’t do much.

I agree with that. It's a bit gimmicky imo.
