If there is anyway you can wait for bit might want to do that. Thats kinda my plan at this point although my chances of getting a brand new 2020 will be lower as time goes by, probably within a few months most of them will be sold out so might looking for a decent used 2020 next summer or something like that. I really wish the dealers would just be honest and tell the truth that they have very little wiggle room right now as they are trying to preserve their current inventory and get top dollar. Then again I guess why would they be telling customers that I guess maybe with the covid thing they did not get enough 2020's produced. I think if I were to get a 2020 I'd look for one with a production date before March of this year, with the Covid shutdown of the plants in Germany who knows maybe the quality was not as good with the ones produced between April and June. As far as I know the last 2020's were produced at the end of June.
Several dealers actually told me exactly that lol. They're upfront, low inventory and a long time to wait they aren't going deep. Almost all the S Classes I have considered are still on lots too.
There are other plusses for the 7 Series too, I can order exactly what I want, I don't have to accept whats available, etc. I actually have come around to where I like the 750 95% as much as I like the S560.

For about the same MSRP as the S560s I've been looking at I can get the upgrade Bowers & Wilkins sound and not have to make do with the base Burmester, I can get the suede headliner, I can get the active comfort drive with road preview (call it MBC light), exactly the colors I want and despite similar MSRP the BMW is cheaper to lease on a 36 month than the S560 is on a 48 month.

Both the Dune Silver and Ruby Black look very nice. With regard to the current 7 series, the W222 & W223 have large grilles as well. The difference IMO is that the S class shape integrates the large grille well. The revised 7 grille is cartoonishly large in comparison to the otherwise slim/narrow design of the front end. This is most apparent to me in the front 3/4 view.
Plus with the BMW 7 series you also have the option of the remote parking assist where you can back the car out of or into a parking spot using the FOB. I think they still have that option. How about Emerald Green? I did find one of these in another state on the net for decent price.

Love the emerald also! It's on my list if I go with a 223 for sure.

Beautiful! Looks like money and not because money is green. Honestly looks even better than my favorite Ruby Black. Very old school individualistic.

Ya I really had thought about a Emerald green car, just couldn't find one with the options I was looking for and especially without having to go to the other side of the Country. See my above thread about my new to me 2018 Designo Diamond White S560.
