Low beam, right side

Low beam, right side
Hi, I suddenly got this message “low beam, right side”, strangely right after I got my DMV INSPECTION done. I cannot imagine there is any connection between the two but I simply can’t shake it off. Anyway, took it to Benz dealer and they said it will take $2,600 to change the igniter!! What?? My car is a 2007 S550. Is this what the cost is?

Sounds like your blinker fluid might be low. But, ya, it is a 14 year old german flagship car. Repair costs don't depreciate. I would source a used unit off ebay, swap it and be done.

thank you Suoerpop. I’ll check with a local mechanic. Benz dealership won’t do at anything less than $2600
