Bug Residue
Getting a Feynlab ceramic coat this week.
I drive a lot of highway miles and was wondering what's the easiest/best removal of bug residue on painted areas of the car and specifically the hard-to-clean grill? A non-damaging product you've had success with?
I'll get an opinion from the detailing shop when I pick up the car later this week but would be interested in the forums thoughts/recommendations.

Nice! My car is getting paint corrected and ceramic coated next week. Your detailer should be able to get all bug residue off your car and should be doing a full paint correction prior to locking in the finished product with the ceramic coating. The grille should be getting coated too, as well as the headlights and almost all surfaces other than the glass. Once it's coated and cured, the bugs will come off with easy with just a spray of the hose.

Gtechniq makes a big remover, I think it’s W7, it works great.

I wouldnt do that personally, you will cause marring of the paint that way.

Good old soap and water for me. Lots of bugs in FL. I first rinse the car and bug area and then leave the bug affected area until last for washing to get them softened up. By the time I get back to the bugs, they're pretty well softened up. A soapy rag generally gets rid of them. However, I don't let bugs stay on the car very long.

For years, I have used Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover. Works miracles! However since applying a ceramic coating to my car, I noticed that bugs and bug guts come off much easier. In the past, a long road trip would guarantee that I would be applying the Bug and Tar during the next car wash session. Now most of it wipes off after soaking under soap foam for a few minutes.
