Intermittent Brief Squeal?
Hi looking to see if any one knows of or has had this issue.
Occasionally when i am at very slow speeds like backing out of a parking spot or maybe leaving a drive through i will hear a brief loud metal squeal from what sounds like the front end.
Taking the car to the dealer in a couple weeks for new tires and brakes but trying to give them more guidance since when its so intermittent they usually are unable to replicate the issue.
My brakes have a squeal with light pressure but this sounds different.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Start looking at the idler pulleys and finally if you have ABC suspension I hate to say it but thats exactly what I experienced was that noise. It only got worse and more often over time. It was the ABC pump that needed replaced.
Of course there could be other things causing this but those are two to consider.

Brief Squeal, maybe you need a change of shorts :0. Seriously though, maybe the backing plate deflector is hitting the rotor or maybe the pads are worn down and need replacement, although you'd think a light from the wear indicator would come on the dash if that were the case, I'd say most likely thing from your description is something is rubbing against one of the front brake rotors or something to do with one of the front brake calipers.

I hope it is just something rubbing.
I will say how well the car is insulated what would be very loud outside is very muffled inside.

Thats not normal the brake wear indicator light coming on and off, sounds like something was not done right the last brake job or it does indeed need another brake job already again, these cars do go though brakes pretty quickly depending on driving style and how many miles it's been.

My fronts brakes were replaced Jan 2020.
I have noticed the intermittent sound since about summer 2020.
