Has lane keeping assist improved since 2016?

Has lane keeping assist improved since 2016?

Has lane keeping ability been improved in later years? Also, the constant reminders to keep hands on the wheel really detracts from its usefulness. Do later cars still require hands on? Cadillac's attention monitoring seems like the right solution. I just bought my 2016 and found lane keeping terrible the first few times I tried it and now it is not bad. I wonder if the prior owner never used it and it does some self learning or calibration.

Not a fan. It works - sort of - but you can feel it constantly messing around with the steering and I find that distracting.
