Instant access to a particular radio preset?

This may seem like a minor issue, but I have recently acquired a W222 and one of the many peeves I have (don’t get me started) is the touch controller in the Comand system. In my old W221 I could just key in a number on the controller and the radio would instantly tune to the corresponding preset station I had previously programmed. In the new car I see a panorama of all my presets on the screen and have to scroll past all the ones I don’t want to finally get to the one I do want. Does anyone have a workaround that would allow me to instantly choose a preset? Thanks in advance.

I can scroll through 10 pre-sets in less than 1 second with my controller. That is much quicker than it took me to open the cover of the old pad on my previous W221 S600, look down, and choose the preset number I wanted.

I wonder the same thing ... did Mercedes really mean for us to scroll everywhere? surely presets are available in some manner ?

I have tons of pre-sets on mine. I can set Sirius, AM, FM, HD radio, etc as presets. Where my GL550 only had around 12 presets, I still haven't hit a limit yet on how many I can set up on this car.

If you're wondering how to set them up, take a look at your owners manual. It's actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

I think the issue is not so much how to set the presets, but how to access a particular one quickly without having to scroll through them all.

I put mine in order, so it's pretty simple. You can also use voice command to bring up any station you want pretty quickly.
