Rear Seat Refrigerator Part Numbers

Hey folks, I read through the numerous posts regarding adding the rear seat refrigerator and decided to grab one (used on ebay for $600). What I did not find was the part numbers that are required to make this all work. Does anyone have these for the wire harness and other brackets/trunk parts required?

Looking for the same. I have the Executive Rear Seating Package and would like to add the Fridge. Need the Rear Panel to make it work. Keep me posted if you find parts.

Curious ... does the refrig run all the time, so that your champagne is always cold, even if the car hasn't been driven for several days?

That would probably be catastrophic to the battery! If I remember correctly, the car has to be on, but you also need to press a button in the front of the fridge to turn it on (with two cooling options).

Correct. I had the fridge in my Maybach. Interesting its a REAL fridge with a compressor and coils you can see through the cooling holes. I myself rarely used to fridge but hey it was kind of cool. And yes you have to have turn it on with the button on the front and the car be running.

Having done a good number of car shows with the Maybach I found that the thing that floored people the most was the split view center screen. The looks on their faces were priceless when they see one image on the screen from drivers side and then walk over to the other side and see a different image.

Looks like Chris did a video of the install here, doesn't look too terrible...

But was it Bollinger RD or some other trash?

I'm in the same boat. Bought the fridge, but now looking for supporting parts. What's more, I think I bought the wrong fridge. The A2228200006 is not interchangeable with A2228200206. The '0006 has a longer top section that protrudes deeper into the backseat then the '0206.

Searching online is exhausting, especially with all the conflicting info. Finally found site with decent IPB's (illustrated parts breakdown) and saw my US 2015 W222 sedan 4matic w/ pwr rear seats and my center console was calling-out the '0206 fridge. From the outside, it looks possible to modify the '0006 that I bought into the '0206. So I'll be fiddling around in there shortly, but wanted to check online first to see if I could find any info on this.

Chris's video up top has a different trunk and center console than mine. Great video BTW, a lot of useful info. His "inner wall" is way different than mine and the metal bracket looks nothing like the one in the IPBs for mine. However, the wire harness and connector are the same, so I've put those on order. Not a bad price, either.

I've seen one photo online of my trunk with the fridge installed, so it's possible, but had no luck finding the "inner wall" with the cutout. I'm pretty sure I'll make the cutout myself and reinforce it somehow. Also, I don't like the idea of the trunk access door always being open when the fridge is installed. I'll try to make a cover panel and trim in its place (3D printed or aluminum).

Need to research more on the metal bracket that the two knob-screws in the '0206 fridge screw into. If anyone has any info on this, please share.

I'll post all my findings and photos as I do this. Thanks all for any contribution.

I also have the 0006 fridge and nothing else. I have an inquiry out to my local MB dealer who is allegedly working on part numbers and a quote for me. This is indeed a journey and I agree there isn't a ton of content out there. Chris's video is awesome but my car also looks a bit different...

Do you have executive rear seating. 4 passenger? I have a 2014 with 4 place seating and have same trunk as the 63...

I don't think so. I DO have power rear seats, but my center center console can still fold up for a very tiny person to sit in uncomfortably.

I believe I have a Bench rear with power seats, not to be confused with the sedan Bucket seats. Those have no power, a larger center seat and a shorter console.

Hey all, I'll be posting my updates to the other fridge thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post8366003

I've already added something about the two types of fridges available for the W222.

Peace,
