S550e Hybrid Electric Battery Check?
Does anyone know where I can check the health of my electric battery other than the Mercedes service center? Thank you in advance!

yep purchase an XDOS diagnostic set then take a couple of months learning the system---and you are on your way

Very interesting question! We've had a couple Honda hybrids and the newer one has no gauge or indicator of any kind. On the older one, there was a "state of charge" indicator on the dash which was clunky and misleading, and I suspect they did away with it for that reason. I would think the hybrid control system is some pretty proprietary software that only the mfg and a subset of dealer techs can get into ...

Correct, currently MB Xentry only to the OP only alternative is to find a qualified independent.

I will doubt you will find a local independent dealer. I bring this up in a service, that is what I did with my 16' and they tested it and showed me battery health which was still very good.

My dealership, in San Jose, does the check as part of the scheduled service.
