Maybe a few are still enjoying last few weeks of vacation. I’ve tried 20’s and didn’t like the fitment so went to 22’s. I get a rack of compliments. I only have them on for the summer then switch back to the 19’s for winter. If you get some share your pic of them.

I will be honest 22’s are too large for the S Class. The ride will be awful as well as handling and overall performance of the vehicle. Not speed wise only but just how the car drives.
Car will look great however. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Good luck and post some pics.
I am only 35 and I feel the S class rides too firm even on 20” wheels. I drive on them everyday and it’s tolerable, but it is simply not the ride I expected from this an S class (which is a main reason I bought one). Were I to buy another W222 I would make sure it has the 19” wheels.
What would make someone a wimp for wanting to customize or accessorize THERE car. Explain that to me? That pic is a move above what I would do, but it's that's person car. So if they like it I love it. Some folks come on here and honestly ask for information to make a decision on what others have done. But like always there are ones on here who take to down talking or trying to make some feel stupid for asking.
2020 S560 Sedan, 2019 SL450, 2019 E450 Luxury Trim Wagon, '24 BMW I7 on order...

First of all, my comment that “22’s are for wimps” was a joke, get it? That said, the photo of the W221 that I posted, along with these others here below, sort of SCREAM out to be made fun of, don’t you think?

Porsche Taycan, Range Rover AB, Range Rover SVR, S Class, Mclaren 570s, Urus Hybrid (soon), M3, RS6
Vossen have lots of S Class with 22" alloys on their website, they share the specs they went for as well I think. If you search "s class vossen 22" they'll come up
I think it really depends on your area and the roads. If I lived in Phoenix, the roads at least the highways are very smooth and I think 21-22 would be okay, but in the bay area and in LA the roads are not good and I am glad that I ended up with the AMG 19" wheels. I think 20's would have looked better but since I am still waiting to replace the run flats the car does ride very smooth with the 19's.
Blah, blah, blah. It's still a clown car. People that do this atrocity to their cars can only afford them after they've depreciated under 60% of their original value. Just shows who does this to what once was a beautiful car on a Mercedes Benz showroom brand new. This is a disgrace to the brand.

This is false. Pro athletes and hip hop artists who can afford these cars do the same "atrocities." The people who can only afford them after depreciation are copying the celebrities.
And I'd argue that 95% of the population can't afford new cars, even if it's just a $30k Honda, if that price range still exists. Not being able to afford a brand new car with zero miles isn't exclusive to Mercedes.
I've also seen people with plenty of money refuse to buy these cars new. Even they argue it's best to get the better deal on one that's 2-3 years old.
