In car office
Dear all,
i have s class w222 facelift from 2017.
I was thinking about activating in car office in my s class. Unfortunately previous owner did not cross during purchase the “personalization” option. MB code is 141.
is there any way to activate it? From hardware standpoint i should have all of the needed parts.
did anyone else try to activate something when buying pre ownd car? What else is possible to activate in the system?

unfortunately I won’t agree with you. It is a facelift car delivered to customers in the 4th quarter of 2017. It was called indeed model year 2018. Full LED lights, new screens etc. I have used one with in car office feature turned on. Unfortunately the one I am currently using does not allow to use it.
I have full subscription of Mercedes’ me apps. Unfortunately it is not allowing me to purchase the in car office one. After calling the hotline for Mercedes’ me products, they told me, that the only feature my car is missing is the “personalization “ option that has code 141. As it seams to be only an electronic feature needed to be set free, I have raised my question. Maybe someone has tried to do that in his Mercedes’ with Mercedes’ me options. If there is anything else that can be set free during these procedure I will be grateful for the information.

MY and Delivery dates can be different. You post was confusing because it sounded like you were referring to a MY2017 W222 which is a pre facelift MY. MY2018 which it sounds like you have, is actually a facelift car.

I used the "trial" for several months, but no use at all. Only thing nice to have is when you have a missed call, a note is made that can remind you to call back. If you connect your Exchange or Google Calender, you can see some appointments , but only the once near the time slot you are in the car. No email, etc. In the pre-facelift car, e-mail worked like a charm, but the stripped a lot of functionality in the newer cars (like internet browsing, bluetooth tethering, more then 1 alternative route, etc).

MBUX has been around since 2018. The W223 has the 2nd gen version of it. MBUX is not a replacement for COMAND. It is the updated user interface of COMAND.

Here's a more detailed video of the latest version of In-Car Office and how to set it up in Mercedes me connect. It's not available for every model and in every market. Kinda neat to have the calendar and be able to navigate to your next event, but honestly it seems less convenient to using one's phone as you have to get in the car first, then navigate to it and enter the PIN before you can select a calendar event. I've setup a shortcut routine on my iPhone which lets me select an upcoming calendar event, and then share the location with the car. This way I can do that before I even get in the car, and then it pops right up on the screen and only takes two clicks to start the navigation. The other parts are distracting at best. Who thinks that checking your email while driving is a good idea?
