CourtesyCars Automotive Group is part of a larger group: Asbury Automotive Group which owns several Mercedes Benz dealerships in the US ( https://www.asburyauto.com/cars/mercedes-benz/.)
In Florida, they own dealerships in: Tampa (obvious), Orlando, Jacksonville, and Fort Pierce.
Perhaps worth trying them.
Disclaimer: My sister (W211-2008) and I (W212-2014) bought our cars from MBofTampa. We have never had any issues with them, and we drive 30 miles just to avoid the AutoNation one close by (2 miles).

So on Wednesday they told me they got the car back and gave me the waiting for the software line.. then they told me that i should be in the car no later than Friday.. well guess what its Friday and today i was told the repairs that they towed the car for to another location to be done did not work and when they tried to load the software they could not .. So they said they needed to call the electronics repair guy and could not give me any date of when i will be back in my car. i feel like i am being held hostage with knots in my stomach from the stress and anxiety of all this.. this in my 43 year experience with Mercedes has NEVER BEEN THE CASE.. so yes even though i apologized for the drama of my title, i take it back. i dont know what i am going to get back.. what features will be there what wont.. if the distronic will work, if my headsup display or anything for that matter... my seats , my 360 degree cameras etc etc.. vehicle warnings.. i am sick to my stomach over this.. THIS IS NOT A MERCEDES DEALERSHIP this is a sham! There has to be some recourse... Should I be contacting my lawyer? Does MB USA do anything about stuff like this?

I can relate to your emotional reaction to this, I would likely feel the same way. However since it is not happening to me personally I think I can see it with a little more distance. What ever is wrong with the car can be fixed, and you will get your car back operating properly at some point. As long as it is reliable driving your ML is not anything to stress about. What I would be stressing about is what it would cost to get my car back. Do you have an understanding with the dealer regarding that?
In any event I am happy to report, to all of you that have given me advice and have tried to help and calm me down, that yes I received my car back today. It is perfect. Thank GOD! Apparently the dealer abandoned the idea of rebuilding the head unit they had some how corrupted and once rebuilt (fixed) would not accept programing and replaced it with a brand new head unit they acquired i would think from another dealer. The car was returned to me this evening and there was no charge. I do think they were testing me to see if i would buy the assertion that it was defective to begin with. Apparently that was not the case, and took ownership and responsibility for the corruption they had caused. I am happy they stood up and did the repair.. its now been officially since 10/11/2021 that it went in for a headlight and now its 20 days later.. now that's a long repair. My service rep is a good person and although he was bound by his duty to his company did everything he could and returned my car in perfect programmatic shape.

I think my issue was the intimation that it was at fault when brought in. It was not. i pulled in with my radio playing and my navigation on my screens.
Again I really want to thank everyone for the advice and the help !!! You guys all rock! thank you!

Just in case you need service again, we have had great luck with both Palm Beach and now Fort Pierce; neither one an Autonation operation. Fort Pierce will actually deliver a loaner to you and bring your car back when done and pick the loaner up.
They even do this from the Keys.

MB of Palm Beach belongs to a "Eastern US" automotive group ( https://www.newcountry.com/locations/ ). It seems to manage high-end vehicles

Yes definitely stay away from any Autonation Dealer, bad news. I think we really all ought to write to MB Customer service telling them how Autonation is tarnishing their reputation by providing such horrible service and sales with their cars.
