@mercedesbuff thanks for the reminder on tire pressure,I checked mine and they were not on the comfort setting 😱, so I let some air out and took a short ride. I probably need to get out on the highway to be able to gauge the difference.
I really like my Continental Pro Contact GX SSR's Run Flat tires. They ride fine and are quiet except on rough gritty pavement but I can live with it. I just replaced the rears at 27K miles, coulda got another 5K miles outta them and thats not bad for a rear runflat tire. The fronts I think I'll be able to make it up to 40K miles. On my E450 Wagon I have Michelin Primacy 3 tires and that car handles like a sports car with those tires, they are runflats too. I'm up to 19K on those tires and they are maybe 60 percent worn.

I can’t comment on the S Class but I had a similar experience to @Longi with Continental DWS06 on my CLS, I swapped from Pirelli P Zeros, and the DWS’ were definitely a louder tire.
I have Good Year run flats on my new toy, and I may move to NRF when the time comes to replace them, my wife’s ‘22 GLS450 rides quieter.

Another fun fact: loaded with 7 people and more baggage than reasonable, the GLS rode much better. Weight really helps. To the point that I suspect that the suspension's airbag are over-inflated for light loads, and therefore fairly harsh in day-to-day usage.

I’d try to get a Benz mechanic and talk to them directly about this so you can get the best out of that suspension tbh.

I'm really fine with the Conti Gx SSR's. I'm actually amazed I got 27K miles outta the rears, I'm fairly aggressive with the car and it's just rear wheel drive and nearly 500 hp and of course the tires are never rotated due to be staggered. I really think I'm going to get over 40K miles on the front tires the way they look now at 27K miles that is if I don't get a sidewall bubble, I was almost tempted to tell them just to throw fronts on with the rears as I've got a 1500 mile drive coming up in a couple of days and would hate to get stuck somewhere with a bad tire, but so far the tires seem great knock on wood. I think I'll just stick with them in the future, the run flat feature is nice it saved me once on my wagon a few years ago when something metal cut a hole in the sidewall and I was able to drive the car 50 mph 50 miles back to the dealer and get a new tire. I sure wouldn't be up for changing out a tire on the side of a busy highway.

I just looked at the outside of all 4 tires, and I don't see anything to indicate that they have the Pirelli Noise Cancelling System (PNCS), I have no idea if they should be marked as such or not?

If you look on TireRack and scroll through the tires for the GLS, including your sizes, the Pirelli PZ4s come in the regular and the PNCS form for that tire size. It also utilities the Conti SportContact 6, a version of which has the ContiSilent addition for your tire sizes. The Scorpions do indeed come with PNCS, per TireRack. There’s a version with and one without, but the one with should be what yours has.
The foam tires for these brands are size-dependent and only for specific vehicles. You’d need to read through and look for the ones that have the foam tech specifically. Only way to verify yours does is to check the interior of the tire but that involves taking it off the rim.
Reports of how effective that foam is are mixed...

Purchased a set of Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus in 19’’. Ride improved somewhat, but the tire is loud on motorways and thumps on expansion joints. Not really an improvement.
Bit the bullet and purchased a set of 18’’ wheels with PIRELLI P7 AS PLUS 3. Ride is excellent and noise suppression is much improved. Got a good offer from tirerack.com, all up about $1,800.
I’m happy with this setup. Wheels are pretty much the same design as my original 19’’ AMG. The wheels do need spacers though, look odd given as they are recessed in the arches.
@Longi I wasn't sure that I wanted to hear that the 18's are better, even though it makes sense! I am on 20's and I just love the look, but I think that they impact the ride quality. But interestingly it only seems to be me that notices, I recently got my fronts rebalanced (road force) and I have been playing around with the tire pressure, as I was getting a lot of vibration & feedback on the highway, like I say my wife didn't notice it when driving, but I did. Right now I seem to have things where I want them, but here in Atlanta the temps swing so much on a daily basis that 34psi today could be more or less tomorrow!
Yep the Pirelli p7 pluses are great. I run them on my Chevy pickup and got over 40k miles on the last pair. As soon as my Michelins primacy tires are gone on my E450 wagon I’ll be putting those on it. I’ve got the 19 inch rims aftermarket ones. 19 inch seems like a good compromise between looks and ride.

I purchased my first non-michelin tires for my MBs (michelin only since 1994).. i bought bridgestone quiet tracks
very smooth, good absorbsion over bumps and dead quiet on my S. I love these although it was tough to go away from michelin... but i just did not like the pirelli fun flats.. and wanted quiet smooth riding tires
I too purchased the compressor and repair slime OEM.. little more costly than aftermarket kits, but i purchased the GLS listed compressor... it fills a totally flat large wide amg wheel i had in my garage in 85ish seconds ( if i recall)...from totally flat.... i had to upgrade the fuse by 5 amps in my trunk receptacle because the gls compressor has higher output.

I am extremely pleased with the Pirelli PZERO All Season Plus tires I put on my AMG 19s. I've taken a couple road trips, and the tires ride great and are dead quiet. The P7 AS Plus (II and 3 included) are great tires, I ran them on my Lexus but I wouldn't go to 18s.
