W222 Bluetooth Contacts stopped syncing

Hi. I've got a 2017 W222 S350d. Suddenly the other day I couldn't make any outgoing voice calls. It turns out that both Android phones that are paired to the car no longer show their contacts, recent call lists etc to the car. When pairing a new device, the car doesn't ask for permission to access contacts anymore.

Both phones work fine in my wife's 2014 W205 C Class.

I think it's the Bluetooth module. I have found several on eBay, but don't know where it's located inside the car to check that it's the same part number before ordering.

I've searched all over the internet, but cannot find an answer.

Can anybody help?

Thank you. The second may be useful. However it suddenly stopped working. Do you think that a software update would work?
